It’s a breath of fresh air and a new adventure for the 30-year-old striker, Sadio Mane, as Bayern Munich and Liverpool have both confirmed his signing in a three-year deal with the Bundesliga champions.
Mane, regarded as one of the best players in the world, won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Club World Cup during his six years spell at Anfield.
He was signed for around €41 million (£35m/$43m) ending the striker’s successful spell in English football, with his time at Liverpool seeing him net 120 goals in 269 appearances.
According to Goal.com, Liverpool will receive a €32m (£27m/$34m) fixed fee for Mane, with a further €6m (£5m/$6m) possible based on appearances, along with another €3m depending on individual and team achievements.
He was unveiled on Wednesday at the club holding a jersey with the inscription, “FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN 2025 MANÉ”.
His former teammates have all been paying him tribute including Mohammed Salah and his former coach, Jurgen Klopp.
