Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, picked the All Progressives Congress’ N50m Governorship Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms.
Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, announced this on his Twitter page.
But Akosile added that a member of the House of Representatives, James Faleke, picked the forms on Sanwo-Olu’s behalf.
According to the governor’s spokesman, “The train is leaving the station. No one should stand in the way of progress. Two forms were picked today at the @OfficialAPCNg secretariat. Hon James Faleke picked on behalf of Gov @jidesanwoolu while former SGF Babachir Lawal picked on behalf of @officialABAT.”
Recall that on Monday, April 18, 2022, Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), endorsed Sanwo-Olu’s second term bid.
Akosile said Governor Sanwo-Olu was also given a pass mark for upholding the state’s development agenda.
Following GAC’s endorsement, Chairman of the newly constituted Parks Management Committee in Lagos, Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo, announced his support for Sanwo-Olu’s second-term bid.
Oluomo also pledged to ensure the governor garners three million votes from members of the parks committee and their families.
