It would seem you all can’t wait for some cinema and Netflix bangers from Nigerian directors /producers, talking about the like of Kemi Adetiba, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, Luke Aire Oyovbaire, and others.
Kemi Adetiba who dropped ‘King of Boys’ in 2018, has finally made up her mind to set her fans free after a long teaser of anticipation.
The director is finally set to drop ‘Laburu’, come August 27. The movie will, however, come in seven series and it’s the first Netflix original series from Nigeria.
Also, Toyin Abraham, a comic relief actress, is set to give her viewers an updated version of her movie, ‘The Ghost and the Tout’; long dropped in 2018.
She, however, gave her viewers The Ghost the Tout too as a teaser on August 11; whereas the real deal will be in the cinema hall on the 10th of September.

King of Boys 2 (The return of Laburu)
King of Boys is a 2018 Nigerian political thriller film. It tells the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami, a businesswoman and philanthropist, bearing a promising political future.
She is drawn into a struggle for power which in turn threatens everything around her, owing to her growing political ambitions.
To come out of this on top, she is caught up in a game of trust, not knowing who really to look up to, and this leads to her ruthlessness.
The sequel series explore Salami’s return to the limelight, after a five-year exile; while also dealing with Makanaki (Reminisce), the villain from the original film whose fate remains unknown.
It features Reminisce, IllBliss, Akin Lewis, Osas Ighodaro, Titi Kuti, and Keppy Ekpeyoung, who will repeat their roles from the first movie.
The new cast added are: Nse Ikpe-Etim, Richard Mofe Damijo, ‘RMD’, Efa Iwara, Deyemi Okanlawon, Charly Boy, and Lord Frank.
It will be released on Netflix on the 27th of August 2021
The Ghost and the Tout Too
This movie is palpable in the sequence of ‘The Ghost and the tout’ and it was produced by Toyin Abraham in 2018.
The movie is, however, about a young lady who grew up in a Ghetto and meets with a ghost, after an unfortunate incident takes place.
Soon after, her life is thrown into a series of dramas that only she can see and understand.
It will be taking over cinemas nationwide, from September 10th.
It is directed by Michael Akinrogunde, and produced by Toyin Abraham, featuring the like of Mercy Johnson, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Osas Ighodaro, Adedimeji Lateef, Patience Ozokwor, Odunlade Adekola, Destiny Etiko, , Deyemi Okanlawon, Iyabo Ojo, and a host of others.
Loving Rona
A young wealthy businesswoman, Rona, and her Garden Boy, Benny, unwittingly fall in love as they scheme to sabotage Alex, Rona’s ex fiancée’s romance with Jackie, his supposed masseurs, so that Rona could have her fiancée back.
It stars Erica Bale Opia, Fiona Garba, Gideon Okeke, Jeff (Bankz) Nweke, Jide Bolarinwa, Meg Otanwa, Patricia Egbon, Ummi Baba Ahmed and was directed by Luke Aire Oyovbaire
The movie was released in the cinema on August 20, 2021.

This movie tells the intriguing story of an intelligent ‘New Entry University Student’, who was initiated into occult group, bearing his intimidating brainpower.
After his first assignment, which led to the death of a rival confraternity leader, Lugard’s life is being hunted.
It stars Gabriel Afolayan, Kehinde Bankole, Adeniyi Johnson, Hafiz ‘Saka’ Oyetoro, Debo ‘Mr Macaroni’ Adebayo, Omowunmi Dada, Zack Orji, Norbert Young, Laduba Quadri Qidad, Kalu Ikeagwu, and Tunji Adeyemo.
It was produced by Lekan Ayinde and Quadri Qida. Executive producer is Hakeem Olagesin, while Tunde Was director.
