…says ‘he’s hale, hearty’
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, gave a hint of what transpired when he met with the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Tuesday in London.
Recall that Sanwo-Olu had met with Tinubu in London amid rumours that the APC chieftain had fallen ill and was hospitalised abroad.
The governor, in a chat with reporters at the Lagos House, Ikeja, on Wednesday, said that during his visit to Tinubu in London they both discussed current events in the ruling APC and other issues of national importance.
Sanwo-Olu also stated that he decided to take some pictures with Tinubu to dispel rumours that the APC national leader had fallen ill and was hospitalised.
He told the newsmen, “You saw him in the picture, pictures don’t lie. He is well, healthy and we conversed. We talked about what is happening in our party and happenings in the nation.
“I went to see things for myself. It is just to put the mind and heart of people at rest, that there is nothing for us to worry about.”
Sanwo-Olu, who also spoke on the likely time Tinubu will return to Nigeria, stated that only the APC leader could decide that, saying, “A man has discretion as to decide when to go out of the country and when to return. It is his call.”
