Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (CSMC), Ayo Ni o, Most Reverend Samuel Abidoye, says all Nigerians have a crucial role to play in efforts towards tackling the rising wave of crime and criminalities across country.
Abidoye said all Nigerians must necessarily be security conscious and ready to volunteer vital information to the security agencies to facilitate the arrest of criminals.
The CSMC spiritual father stated this at the International Headquarters of the church, Galilee Land, Orile Igbon, Oyo State, while hosting members of the Media Advisory Board of the Conference.
Prophet Abidoye lamented that the current insecurity in the country had gone beyond the capacity and powers of the security architecture, adding that the situation has necessitated the rise of the people to the challenge by assisting both government at all levels and the security agencies to tackle the problem.
He urged government at all levels to find lasting solutions to the worsening spate of kidnappings, banditry and other forms of criminality in the country as Nigerians are no longer safe even in broad daylight in their own country.
Abidoye urged Federal Government to address youth restiveness, poverty eradication, hunger and other forms of hardship confronting Nigerians.
The cleric lamented that many Nigerians now find it difficult to eat three square meals a day, urging government to address the “stomach issue” immediately.
“Prices of foodstuffs and other essential commodities have escalated beyond the reach of the common man across the country. The situation has even gone beyond the common man because the rich also cry now,” he said.
The CSMC spiritual father also applauded members of the Media Board for their role in promoting the image of the Church while also challenging them to do more, especially towards attracting more converts into the fold.
In his response, Vice Chairman of the Board, Special Apostle Wole Mosadomi, said construction of the multi-million naira Media Centre at the International Centre of the Church at Galilee, Orile Igbon, Oyo State, would soon commence.
Mosadomi added that the Media Centre would be equipped with modern broadcasting equipment.
He also said the Documentary on the Church had also reached advance stage, noting that the project is aimed at showcasing the formation, past, present and future of Cherubim and Seraphim Church Worldwide.
