Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, known simply as TB Joshua, was on Friday afternoon buried in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.
It was a free flow of emotions as members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, friends, well wishers and benefactors, cry and sob watching the renowned televangelist lowered into a six-feet, a faith that awaits all humans.
Prophet TB Joshua, who founded the Synagogue Church of All Nations, who died at the age of 57, was buried at the premises of his church in Lagos.
Left to mourn him are his widow, Evelyn; his children, family members, church members local and international and other loved ones.
In attendance at his burial include the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu; Wife of the Ooni of Ife, Olori Naomi Adeyeye and others.
The late prophet, pastor and philanthropist was born on June 12, 1963. He had hoped to celebrate his 58th birthday on June 12, 2021 before death came knocking on June 5, 2021.
The late cleric is a native of Arigidi Akoko, in Ondo State. He founded the Synagogue Church in 1987.
The church headquarters is located in Ikotun, Lagos. The church has branches in Ghana, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Greece.
He is one of the richest pastors in Nigeria. In 2011, Forbes estimated him to be worth over $15m.
The cleric supposed powers to heal diseases such as HIV/AIDs, cancer and other terminal diseases attracted thousands of people from all over the world to his church in Nigeria.
Most of his church services and activities were televised on his television, Emmanuel TV, a Christian television network.
After the demise of Joshua, his widow, Evelyn, was selected by the church to take over as the church leader.
