Delta State Governor, Dr ifeanyi Okowa, has been commended for the immunisation exercise against yellow fever
The traditional Prime Minister of Aboh Kingdom, Chief Edwin Ndanike, stated this at Aboh when some primary health staff of Ndokwa East Local government Council visited the obi’s palace to sensitise the people of the community on the danger of the disease.
According to him, Deltsa State was blessed with a proactive governor, whom he said, was a medical doctor.
He assured that the traditional council would give the health workers the necessary support to enable them reach out to all persons in the community for the follow up yellow fever immunization.
Earlier, the leader of the team, Mrs Grace Eze, said that that the visit was to intimate the palace and the council of chiefs on how far the immunization exercise went in the area.
She said that the immunization exercise against yellow fever from nine months to 44 years was been successful, adding that those not attended to should come to the primary health care centre.
She appealed to the council of chiefs to take the information to their various homes.
