The Yewa Christan Community under the aegis of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Yewa Muslim Community have held special thanksgiving services to mark the 10th Coronation Anniversary of the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle.
The CAN programme, which held last Thursday at the Palace Chapel, followed the Praise Night held at the Palace Children’s park on Wednesday Night, while the Muslim Iftar and Special Jumat came up at the Palace ground on Friday, as part of the low-key activities marking Oba Olugbenle’s Coronation Anniversary.
Highlights of the Christian programmes were special thanksgiving, prayers, health outreach by Christian Corners Fellowship and performance by Ayan Jesu Band.
The Muslim prayers featured Iftar prayers by clerics, Ramadan Lecture and breaking of fast.
The two events were attended by Yewa Obas, Chiefs and Kabiyesi’s Family members.
