10,000 dignitaries expected at late CSMC Baba Aladura Abidoye’s seven-day funeral


. Burial committee assures adequate security at all events

About 10,000 dignitaries from across the globe are expected to attend the weeklong funeral ceremonies for the late Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), Most Revd (Prophet) Samuel Adefila Abidoye, the church has said.

The CSMC also said ahead of the seven-day burial ceremonies for the late spiritual father,
tight security measures have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free event.

Chairman of Abidoye Burial Committee, Senior Special Apostle (Dr) Emmanuel Awode, disclosed these on Friday while speaking with journalists at the CSMC International Headquarters located along Ogbomoso Expressway, Galilee land, Orile Igbon, Oyo State.

Awode said the transition of Baba Aladura Abidoye, who passed away on November 1, 2023, at the age of 103, marked the end of a remarkable spiritual journey sign posted by unwavering dedication to faith, service and compassion.

He announced that activities for Abidoye’s burial will commence on Monday, April 22 and end on April 28 with a thanksgiving service at the church international headquarters.

Awode said, “We have put appropriate mechanisms in place to ensure efficient and effective security during the activities,

“Throughout his tenure, he led with grace and humility, touching countless individuals through his words, actions and unwavering commitment to justice and peace.

“His wisdom, gained through years of steadfast devotion, served as a guiding light for us all, illuminating the path towards a more compassionate and inclusive society.

He added, “His life was a symphony of service, faith and unwavering dedication to his flock and service to God Almighty. From his early days in ministry to his final moments among us, Baba Aladura Abidoye embodied the true essence of compassion and selflessness.

“Let us not mourn his passing, but rather celebrate the profound impact he has had on our lives and our community. Let us carry forward his legacy with courage and conviction embodying the values and virtues of live forgiveness and service that hold dear.”
