Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Samuel Nwanosike, on Thursday, allegedly led some suspected thugs to the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja.
Nwanosike is a loyalist of the former Rivers State governor and incumbent Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The ongoing PDP NEC meeting, among other things, is likely to sanction Wike over allegations of anti-party activities.
Nwanosike, however, reportedly attempted to forcefully enter the venue of the meeting to create chaos and possibly stop NEC from making its resolutions.
