Following the abduction of over 333 schoolboys in Katsina by the Boko Haram, the Zamfara State Government has closed all its boarding schools to prevent a similar occurrence.

According to Abdullahi, “We will not want what happened in Katsina to happen in Zamfara State.

In Kano State, the state government said it had taken all necessary security measures to ensure that all its schools were secured in the state.
