The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) results.
The news was shared by the exam body on Monday via their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
In the post, WAEC stated, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024.”
How to Check Your WAEC Results
Students who wish to check their results can do so using either the online platform or through SMS. Below are the steps for both methods:
Checking WAEC Results 2024 Online:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the WAEC result checker website at https://waecdirect.org.
- Enter Examination Number: Input your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.
- Select Examination Year: Enter the 4-digit year of your exam, e.g., 2024.
- Choose Examination Type: Select the type of examination (school candidate).
- Enter e-PIN: Input the e-PIN Voucher Number.
- Enter PIN: Provide the Personal Identification Number (PIN) found on your e-PIN.
- Submit: Click on the “Submit” button and wait for the results window to load. Checking WAEC Results 2024 via SMS:
- Compose a Message: Type WAECExaminationnumberPIN*Exam Year through your phone (there should not be a space in between).
- Send to 32327
- You will receive a message instantly containing your WAEC statement of result.
It should be noted that only MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers can actually check their results using this SMS method.
Students can repeat the step if they do not receive your result via SMS.
SMS charges will be applied when checking your WASSCE result using text messages.
