Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, announced on the 30th of September, 2024, his willingness to submit more evidence against renowned crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly called Bobrisky.
Through his legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, Otse revealed this at the House of Representatives’ investigative hearing, noting that the additional evidence had not yet been made public.
“VeryDarkMan has not said he won’t talk because we came prepared with additional evidence that are not online. He is not saying he won’t assist the committee; but because that person who should be here is not, he won’t talk directly but through his counsel.”
Earlier, VeryDarkMan had refused to participate in the ongoing investigative hearing by the House of Representatives, citing the absence of both Bobrisky and the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as his reason for staying silent.
“I will not say anything until Bobrisky and the EFCC chairman are present. If I say anything, let me die,” VeryDarkMan said.
VeryDarkMan appeared before the National Assembly for a hearing concerning his allegations that Bobrisky paid the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) N15 million as a bribe.
According to an audio clip released by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky allegedly stated that the money was intended to get the EFCC to drop money laundering charges against him.
In the recording, Bobrisky also claimed his godfather intervened to ensure he didn’t serve a six-month sentence in Kirikiri prison.
Bobrisky has denied these claims, dismissing the audio as fabricated.
In response, the House of Representatives summoned Bobrisky, VeryDarkMan, and EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukayode, for an investigative hearing on the matter.
