Umahi orders arrest of APC chair, Reps candidate over alleged murder

Ebonyi State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Chief Stanley Emegha, and the candidate for the Afikpo North/Afikpo South Federal Constituency, Chief Eni Uduma Chima, have been ordered to be detained and prosecuted immediately for their alleged roles in the murder of three people in Ekoli Edda.

During a spot inspection to gauge the extent of the damage, Governor Umahi issued the order.

The Governor also instructed the Commissioner of Police to make sure everyone involved in the slaughter was apprehended and brought to justice.

The Governor asked the Commissioner of Police to heavily staff the area with security personnel in order to prevent additional breakdowns in law and order while also ordering the suspension of all social gatherings in Edda until things return to normal.

The Police, Army, and Ebubeagu Security team have cordoned off the entire Ekoli Edda as of the time this news was filed.
