Two persons have died in separate auto crashes that occurred on highways in Ogun State
The first accident occurred around a hidden Petrol Station on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, where one person was recorded dead and the one other escaped unhurt.
The second crash occurred at Toll gate on Sagamu-Abeokuta route, leaving one person dead and another rescued unhurt.
Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun State, Florence Okpe, confirmed this to newsmen in a statement on Tuesday.
Okpe said that the vehicle involved in the first auto crash was unidentified and the cause was a case of hit and run while the corpse had been deposit at Idera Mogue, Sagamu.
She also said that the vehicle involved in the second auto crash was a Mack Tipper truck with the registration number: JBD483ZY and the cause was a lone crash due to excessive speed and the vehicle lost control in the process
The superintendent route commander, said that the corpse had also been deposited at Idera Morgue, Sagamu.
The Sector Commander CC Anthony Uga described the crashes as an avoidable one if caution was considered and simple traffic rules were taken by the drivers
He sympathize with the family of the victims and advised the motoring public to put safety first when ever using the road.
