President-elect Donald Trump has made a groundbreaking announcement: billionaire Elon Musk and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will head up a new, unprecedented initiative, the Department of Government Efficiency.
With Musk and Ramaswamy at the helm, the mission is clear: dismantle the thick layers of Government Bureaucracy, ruthlessly slash excessive regulations, eliminate wasteful spending, and completely reimagine Federal Agencies.
Trump underscored the gravity of their work by likening it to a modern-day “Manhattan Project,” calling the Tuesday evening reveal an important milestone for his administration.
For decades, “Republican politicians have dreamed about the objectives of ‘DOGE,’” he noted, emphasizing the longstanding desire for reform.
Musk and Ramaswamy will bring “advice and guidance from outside of Government” and collaborate closely with both the White House and the Office of Management & Budget. Together, they aim to pioneer an entrepreneurial spirit within government that is, in Trump’s words, “never seen before.”
The new agency’s vision is ambitious: an efficient U.S. government dedicated to improving the lives of every American citizen.
The plan, Trump explained, also includes a full-scale crackdown on “the massive waste and fraud which exists throughout our annual $6.5 Trillion Dollars of Government Spending.”
Trump closed by adding that their efforts will work to “liberate our Economy, and make the U.S. Government accountable to ‘WE THE PEOPLE.’”
