Troops Rescue Abducted Lecturer in Plateau State

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have rescued Dr. Yohanna Mallo, a lecturer at the Federal College of Education, Pankshin, who was abducted by gunmen on March 1 in Plateau State.

According to an intelligence source quoted by Makama, the lecturer has undergone debriefing and has been reunited with his family.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the development on Tuesday via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, disclosing that the rescue mission was carried out in collaboration with other security agencies.

Efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects behind the abduction, with troops conducting follow-up operations in the area.

Residents have been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies to aid ongoing investigations.

Operation Safe Haven, a multi-security task force responsible for peacekeeping in Plateau, Bauchi, and parts of Kaduna State, reiterated its commitment to combating insecurity and protecting lives and property in the region.
