Manchester United and Manchester City are involved in a transfer ‘war’ over the signing of Barcelona forward, Antoine Griezmann, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The two Premier League powerhouses have made enquiries about the availability of the France international this summer’s transfer window.
Barcelona are not willing to sell Griezmann this summer, and it remains to be seen if they will reject a big bid from United and City.
Griezmann regularly featured in his first season at Camp Nou scoring 14 goals, but has fallen out of favour in recent weeks under Barca coach, Quique Setien.
The 29-year-old was limited to a brief cameo on Tuesday night as Barcelona and Atlético Madrid played a 2-2 draw in a match that could prove vital to the LaLiga title race.
Griezmann joined Barcelona for €120million from Atletico Madrid last summer.
He will now hope to start for Barcelona when they face Villarreal in an away La Liga clash on Sunday.
