Veteran Nollywood actor Tito Harrison has bravely shared the harrowing details of his battle with a severe liver condition and ulcer, a fight that left him physically debilitated and financially drained.
In an open conversation on Biola Bayo’s podcast, Harrison revealed how his medical crisis forced him to part with his home, cars, and other possessions to cover mounting hospital bills.
As the financial strain grew, he eventually had to move in with his mother-in-law.
During this dark chapter, Harrison spoke of the unwavering support he received from his wife, who became his anchor.
He referred to her as his greatest blessing, recounting how she stood by him when many others had turned away.

“When I was struggling with liver disease and a chronic ulcer, my wife was there when everyone else left. It’s priceless to have a supportive wife. I had to sell my house, my car, and everything just to pay the hospital bills. After we moved into a rented place, I couldn’t afford the rent anymore, so we ended up staying with my mother-in-law. If I had to live this life again, I would still marry her,” he reflected.
Harrison also expressed his frustration with colleagues in the entertainment industry who chose to mock his hardships rather than extend help.
He recalled a hurtful remark made by one of his peers: “Someone once said in an interview, ‘Tito Harrison is finished. He’s now living in his wife’s mother’s house.’ I even have the publication. So what? Even if it’s true, why publicly shame me? If you can’t support me, don’t drag me down or tarnish my reputation,” he said, revealing the sting of those words.
