A support group for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket has called on Nigerians to use their Permanent Voters Cards to elect credible leaders capable of taking the country to greater heights.
The Director General of the group, Kabir Ashiru, made the appeal during the inauguration of the National and State executive members of the group in Ikeja, Lagos at the weekend.
Among people inaugurated included: Mrs Animashaun Toyin is National Woman Leader, Mr Olatunde Moruf Mekudi, as Lagos State Coordinator.
According to Ashiru, the organisation was established to mobilize support for Tinubu’s presidency and the re-election of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as governor of Lagos State in order to build on his accomplishments.
According to him, the group will be going door to door across the nation to inform Nigerians about the APC’s platform and agenda in an effort to win their support.
Ashiru characterized Tinubu as a dependable, detribalized Nigerian with the expertise and capacity to address the nation’s many problems with long-lasting solutions.
In a statement, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, the vice chairman of the Ikorodu Local Government Area, praised the group for taking it upon themselves to mobilize support for APC candidates and urged those who have not yet collected their PVC to do so in order to vote for the party during the window of opportunity provided by the electoral body.
Olabanji-Oba predicted that Tinubu’s election as president will revolutionize the nation and raise it to new heights, adding that “the achievements of Sanwo-Olu is a pointer for Nigerians to support the party at the polls.”
