President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in seven newly appointed ministers at the State House Council Chamber in Abuja.
The ceremony follows their confirmation by the Senate, which approved all seven nominees after individual screenings.
The new ministers were sworn in across two batches, beginning with four appointees: Idi Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Dr Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education, and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
The second batch included Dr Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Muhammadu Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment.
The ministers’ citations were read by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information at the State House, before they took their oaths of office.
The appointments follow a significant cabinet reshuffle on October 23, during which Tinubu reassigned 10 ministers, removed five others, and nominated seven new candidates for Senate approval.
