Tinubu Most Demonized Nigerian, But Has a Good Soul — Shettima Defends President

In a powerful speech, Vice President Kashim Shettima has come to the defense of President Bola Tinubu, calling him the “most demonized politician in Nigeria” despite having a “good soul” and genuine intentions for the country.

Speaking in Abuja on Thursday, Shettima revealed his deep admiration for the President, dismissing widespread perceptions of Tinubu as a corrupt leader motivated by personal gain.

Instead, he assured Nigerians that Tinubu is in power for the nation’s glory, not to amass wealth.

“I’m not playing politics, I’m speaking from the heart. I have seen the soul of Bola Tinubu, and he has a good soul,” Shettima stated.

“He means well for the nation. He wants to live in a place of glory. He is not in power to engage in primitive capital accumulation.”

Shettima further shared a personal anecdote to illustrate his point, revealing that his own residence in Maiduguri is more impressive than Tinubu’s much-discussed Bourdillon home in Lagos.

“The first time I went to his house at Bourdillon, I was looking forward to seeing a mansion comparable to Buckingham Palace, with gardens and swimming pools, but there was nothing special about that house. My house in Maiduguri is better than the house in Bourdillon.”

The Vice President urged Nigerians to support Tinubu as he implements tough but necessary measures to address the country’s socio-political, economic, and security challenges. He emphasized the importance of looking beyond Nigeria’s current difficulties and focusing on solutions that will benefit the nation in the long run.

“Nigerians will soon start seeing the benefits of the tough measures being implemented,” Shettima promised, urging the public to trust in Tinubu’s leadership during this critical period for the country.
