All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, campaign organisation Director general, Adams Oshiomhole on Wednesday said time will tell if supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, who describe themselves as ‘Obidient’, are really obedient.
Oshiomhole stated this while speaking in an interview on The Morning Show of Arise News on Wednesday.
The former national chairman of the APC said that most of the presidential candidates have not been able to, in most cases, sufficiently address how they are going to tackle issues confronting as a nation.
Singling Obi out, he said that LP candidate got away with several intriguing questions put across to him.
He said, “Obi was asked how, and he said, “It’s a secret.”
Asked what he will do if Obi supporters criticizes him for criticising their candidate, Oshiomhole replied, “I will come after them.”
According to the former Edo State governor, it is not necessary for the candidates to say in a rush what they want to do because “those who have rushed out what they want to how much have they done expatiating on how they are going to do it.”
He said that he did not have the benefit of the current smartphones during his time as a non-state actor when he interrogated and fought with power on the side of the people.
Speaking on Obi’s supporters, he said, “This ‘Obidients’ or ‘disObidients’. time will tell. We now live in a world where we can have ten young men and women in one room, whether motivated or not motivated and they can churn out 1 million stories using different names. You need to find out that this whole thing is being done in one room. Time will tell.
“What has changed? My dear friend Obi, a former colleague was a vice presidential candidate, how come people massively disobeyed the ticket? What has changed now that you think they will be obedient?
“Slogans are nice, but real issues are probably nicer and I am looking forward to the campaign stage, where we have to address the issue of how, because too many of us in politics get away with so many things.”
