Tacha reveals how her ex-driver stole from her

Reality TV star and former BBN housemate, Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha has urged business owners to apply due diligence when employing support staff members.

The entrepreneur and brand influencer took to her Instagram stories on Monday and lamented her experience with a driver she employed in August after the previous one had caused the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority to impound her vehicle.

She wrote, “Everybody needs to be careful with the kind of support staff they keep around them. My company employed this driver on the 31st of August after the former driver took one way on Lekki-Epe way, and LASMA impounded my van. I know the struggle I went through to get my van back.

“A new driver was employed and I assumed everything was okay until I got a mail from the management of the property I stay in, thanking me for my stay and wanting to have a short conversation with me. On the 6th of October, we jumped on a Zoom call where they dropped the reason for the Zoom call.

“Apparently, my driver had been conniving with the gateman of the property to steal the premises fuel and they sell it together! I was shocked. How can somebody who has not worked for two months in a company be stealing fuel?”

She said that she contacted the logistics team for her business and they had to terminate the driver’s employment at the end of the month.

She further advised business owners to “double-check” before employing people as support staff members.

“I know we cannot be 100 percent correct when we make decisions about our support staff, but please let’s double-check because people like this will just ruin business for you,” she advised.
