Nigeria’s senior national men’s football team, Super Eagles, have moved down to 31st position in the world, dropping 1 spot from 30th position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola ranking.
The ranking which was released on Wednesday had the Super Eagles Drop to 31st position and 4th in Africa with a total of 1504 points after losing to Ecuador and Mexico in international friendlies. Despite the Super Eagles win against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe in the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers, it was not enough to give them a boost.
Reigning African champion, Senegal maintain their lead as 1st in Africa and 18th globally, while Morroco (22nd) and Tunisia (30th) occupy the 2nd and 3rd spot on the continent respectively.
