Popular media personality Idowu Adeyemi, widely known as Yhemolee, has urged couples to avoid going through their partners’ phones in an attempt to catch them cheating.
The nightlife enthusiast, who recently tied the knot with his longtime partner, Thayour B, warned that snooping through a partner’s phone could be dangerous.
According to him, the emotional toll of uncovering hidden information could be so overwhelming that it might even threaten one’s mental well-being or life.
In a video shared on his Instagram page Yhemolee recounted a story about a friend whose fiancée ended up in the hospital, struggling to breathe after discovering something disturbing on her partner’s phone.
“I asked if she had any terminal illness and he said no. He said she checked his phone overnight. My point is, stop checking your partner’s phone, if you die, the person that made you lose your life will move on.
“My friend confirmed to me that if his fiancée went through his phone very well, she might not survive and even if she survives, whenever she remembers what she saw, she would be traumatised,” he said.
