Seyi Tinubu Donates Over N500m to Maiduguri Flood Victims

Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, visited Maiduguri, Borno State, to offer aid to victims of the devastating floods that recently ravaged the city.

Accompanied by his brother Yinka, friends, and associates, Seyi made a substantial donation exceeding N500 million, aimed at providing relief to those affected by the disaster.

Known for his philanthropic work, particularly in youth empowerment, Seyi emphasized that this visit marked the beginning of his long-term commitment to supporting young people impacted by the floods. He commended the resilience of the Borno State residents, noting the multiple challenges they have endured in recent years, and expressed confidence that the state would recover stronger from the catastrophe.

The donation comprised essential supplies, including food items, medical provisions, and household necessities. Among the items distributed were:

  • Food Items: cartons of spaghetti, tomato paste, groundnut oil, salt, flour, rice, maize, Maggi, and thousands of loaves of bread.
  • Medical Supplies: critical medicines for almost 50,000 children and adults, including anti-malarials, anti-hypertensives, antibiotics, analgesics, and other vital prescriptions.
  • Household Necessities: 10,000 mosquito nets, blankets, mattresses, sanitary pads, wash kits, and other essentials.

Seyi’s philanthropic effort was widely praised. Chidi, a transport and logistics expert, and Isaac Balami, a renowned aviator, both commended his empathy and commitment to supporting the affected population.
