A mother of two, Mrs Rose Solomon, has raised the alarm against her husband, Mrs Solomon Samuel, for allegedly defiling their 7-year-old daughter for ritual purpose.
The Survivors’ mother, who is an Indigene of Benue State, was married to Solomon Samuel who is from Abeokuta.
Solomon Samuel, who lives at 7, Onirinde Street, Egbeda, Lagos, is an employee of Radisson Hotel GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, as a Laundry attendance.
A source, who hinted at our correspondent of the case, said Samuel had been sleeping with the 7-year-old girl for about two years, thereby, causing serious damage to her private part.
He also confirmed that the minor had visited Mirabel health centre for adequate treatment.
Mrs Solomon, while speaking with our correspondent, said her husband belonged to a suspected occult group, which must have instructed him to carry out the evil.
“He belongs to a cult group that asked him to be doing this evil. He bought some white handkerchiefs which he has been using to clean our daughter’s private part whenever he sleeps with her. I also discover he uses the handkerchief for me whenever we have intercourse and when I raise any complaints, he will beat me mercilessly. I recently discovered our daughter now discharges very offensive smell,” she alleged.
Mrs favour also said her daughter’s penetration was confirmed at Mirabel Centre, adding that the minor could no longer control her urine due to the incident.
“I have to resolve to vacate the house for him when he nearly killed me with beatings. I moved out of the house and relocated to Ijede, Ikorodu with my two children, 10 years boy and a daughter 7 years old, who was molested by her biological father. My daughter is currently receiving treatment at Mirabel Centre because she cannot control her urine again due to the penetration she suffered from the defilement.
Speaking further, the mother of two explained claimed her husband had on several occasions forced her to sleep with other men in designated hotels of which she declined and this comes with grave consequences that attracted heavy beating.
She confronted her husband with this issue but he resorted to domestic violence. She further claimed she reported to her husband’s family members, friends and associates, all to no avail.
A member of Advocate for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network, Mr Ebenezer Omejalile, said the right group had prevailed over the case to seek justice for the minor.
He also confirmed that police operatives at Area F Command, Ikeja, had arrested the suspect on Wednesday.
He added that ACVPN Legal Head formally put down a petition to the Area F Commander, which was initially minuted to the Human Rights unit before it was eventually handed over to the Family Support Unit, Area F Command Ikeja.
