Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has won the Italian Serie A Most Valuable Player (MVP) for U-23 footballers.
He beat Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic to the prize which was announced on Friday evening.
In a tweet posted on Serie A’s official handle, the league said, “Goals, goals, goals. A young striker with the experience of a veteran: @victorosimhen9 is the best Under-23 of this #SerieA.”
Osimhen, 23 began his senior career in Germany at VfL Wolfsburg in 2017.
Earlier in 2015, Osimhen was part of the Nigerian team that won the Under 17 World Cup, scoring 10 goals, winning the record for the most goals scored in a single Under-17 World Cup tournament.
