The 344 schoolboys abducted from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, last Friday and released on Thursday night have arrived in Katsina State.
FirstNews learnt that security operatives escorted the rescued students into Katsina on Friday morning.
Many of the schoolboys, it was learnt, were still dressed in their school uniforms.
On Thursday night, Governor Aminu Masari had confirmed the release of the abducted schoolboys, disclosing that they were being kept at Tsafe in Zamfara State, and would be returned to Kankara today.
The governor also denied that the state government paid any ransom to the bandits before the boys were released.
