Fear gripped residents of Kankara in Katsina State on Tuesday following Boko Haram’s claim of responsibility for the abduction of the over 333 schoolboys.
Despite the closure of the GSSS Kankara and other schools in the state, people identified as relatives of the parents of the abducted students had besieged the premises of the school.
One of the parents, who identified himself as Jamilu Lawan, said he had been around the school premises since Saturday trying to get information on the abducted students.
According to him, “My sister’s son is among the students abducted and I have been coming here( the school) since Saturday, hoping that we shall hear any news concerning them.
