Three persons died in an auto crash on Friday when the driver of a Sienna car rammed the vehicle into a moving truck along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway axis of Ogun State.
One person also sustained serious injuries from the accident.
The crash involved two vehicles – a Toyota Sienna with the registration numbers : BDG 426HT and a DAF Truck with the registration numbers: RN558XC.
Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State, Florence Okpe, confirmed this to newsmen in a statement on Friday.
Okpe said that that casual of the auto crash was as a result of excessive speed on the part the Sienna driver who rammed into the truck that was coming out of a trailer park leaving the three person dead on spot.
She said that seven persons( four male, two female and a child) were involved in the crash were one person sustained injuries and the rest on the three died
The superintendent route commander said that the injured victim had been taken to Isaara general Hospital for medical attention while the corpses had been deposited at FOS Morgue Ipara.
She also said that the operatives are still on ground managing the traffic situation as at the time of filling this report
Sector Commander FRSC, Ogun Ahmed Umar caution motorists on excessive speed and advised to use common sense speed limit.
He however commiserated with the family of the victims.
