Rubi Rose clarifies age after claiming she started as a video vixen at 16

Rubi Rose, a well-known American rapper and model has taken back her earlier statement that she was 16 when she first became a video vixen.

She rose to fame after appearing in the Migos’ 2016 hit music video for ‘Bad and Boujee.’

During a recent episode of the Joe Budden podcast, Rose noted that she was 16 at the time of the video shoot.

“Migos’ ‘Bad and Boujee’ was the first video I ever did. I think I was 16 or 17 when I did the video,” she recalled.

Her claims, however, received backlash since the age of consent in America is 18 years, leading many to question why a minor was featured in an adult music video.

In response to the criticism, Rose clarified that she was 18 years old when she appeared in the video, contrary to the podcast’s claim that she was 16 years old.

“I was 18 in Bad and Boujee video, my bad y’all,” she wrote on her X handle.
