Real Madrid on Saturday night beat Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League final to win the European Cup for the 14th time.
A 59th minute goal by Madrid’s Brazilian forward, Vinicius Junior, was enough to see the Spanish Champions win the match played at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, north of Paris.
The match was delayed by over half an hour owing to security problems outside the ground that prevented many fans entering the stadium in time for kick-off.
Real Madrid owe a lot of applauses for their goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, who made a string of stunning saves at the beginning of the match and after the 59th minute goal by Vinicius Junior.
