Duke and Duchess of Sussex have welcomed their second child, a daughter, Diana Lilibet.
The couple in a statement on Sunday, June 6, 2021, said that their daughter was born on Friday, in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA.
“The mother and child are doing very fine. Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty, The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honour her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales,” the statement said.
This is the second child for the couple, who also has a two-year-old son named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
“On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family,” the couple said.
Harry and Markle got married in 2018, they welcomed the birth of their first child Archie in 2019. In February 2021, the duo announced they were expecting another child.
