A coalition of 28 groups, on Saturday, bought the N100million Nomination and Expression of Interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the President of the African Development Bank and former minister of Agriculture, Dr Akiwumi Adesina.
With this development, Adesina has joined a long list of aspirants jostling for the presidential ticket of the ruling APC.
The coalition of 28 groups that purchased the forms for Adesina, it was learnt, comprises Youth Arise Movement, Nigerians in Diaspora One Nigeria Group, Prudent Youth Association of Nigeria, women groups, farmers, people with disabilities and other civil society groups.
They were said to have raised the N100 million fee to purchase the forms for the AfDB president.
Head, One Nigeria Group, Mohammed Saleh, is said to be the leader of the coalition.
The receipt for the forms seen on Saturday indicated that Adesina had paid the N100million fee for the APC nomination forms.
