Police have said controversial singer, Portable, will face more than six charges in court.
Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a Twitter thread on Saturday, explaining the difference between the alleged threat by Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, and Portable’s case.
Adejobi, who was responding to a Twitter user who compared both cases, tweeted, “I am sure you are very awake as I have addressed MC’s case, but Portable has more than six charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a police man.
“He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Otta, who fired a petition to the Commissioner of Police in Ogun.
“There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him.
“So, there is no sentiment in law. Let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway. Ire o.”
Portable was arrested and kept in police custody on Friday. He will remain in custody till Monday.
