Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, fondly called Portable, has criticised Nigerian celebrities for not contributing financially towards the medical expenses of ailing music video director, TG Omori.
Reports indicate that TG Omori recently underwent an unsuccessful kidney transplant surgery in Lagos, with the donated kidney provided by one of his brothers being rejected by his body.
While some celebrities, including Davido and Kizz Daniel, have shown their support through social media posts since the surgery, none have publicly contributed towards covering his medical costs.
In a video message posted on his social media page, Portable condemned the lack of financial support from Nigerian celebrities, describing the entertainment industry as being “full of fake love.”
He expressed disappointment that figures like embattled Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and music executive Don Jazzy donated to controversial crossdresser Bobrisky during his legal troubles but have not extended the same support to TG Omori, who is seriously ill.
“TG Omori has a kidney problem and celebrities are not donating money or kidney for him but Victor Osimhen and others donated money for Bobrisky who has no value. The industry is full of fake love,” he said.
