Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been conferred with a chieftaincy title of Amuludun of Tigbo Awori Land.
He posted clips from his coronation ceremony on Monday, August 22nd, 2022, as the Amuludun of Tigbo Awori, a kingdom located in Yewa local government area of Ogun State.
Also seen in the clips shared online was popular Fuji artiste, Obesere performing at the coronation with Portable spraying minted 500 naira notes.
The chieftaincy title comes amid backlashes Portable continues to receive over his lifestyle and utterances that have come under public scrutiny.
His nominations were withdrawn by the Headies over statements he made, claiming that he created notorious criminal gangs in Lagos, the ‘One Million Boys’ and ‘Awawa Boys’.
Another reason given for the disqualification was threats made by Portable to his co-nominees in the categories, threatening to kill them if he does not win.
