The Bayelsa State Police Command says its operatives have arrested a suspected armed robber, recovered a locally-made pistol, eight cartridges, illicit drugs and Army camouflage (bullet proof) vest.
A statement on Tuesday by spokesman for the command, Asinim Butswat, said the arrest was made by Operation Puff Adder II, acting on a tip off.
Butswat said the operatives arrested the suspect, one Teke Kolokol, aged 37, off Ayama Road, Famgbe, Yenagoa.
He said a search was conducted in his house where an Army bullet proof vest was also recovered.
He said the suspect was cooperating with the police and would soon appear in court at the conclusion of the investigation.
