About five residents of Mobi town in Adamawa State have reportedly died in a petrol tanker incident.
According to an eyewitness, the inferno started at a filling station on Wednesday when fuel was being transferred to hundreds of jerry cans at Kasuwan Gyela.
It was gathered that about five residents died when petrol tanker was razed, also many sustained injuries during the incident.
A volunteer aid worker, Adamu Madobi, said he saw three brothers die in the unfortunate incident
“Dozens of tricycles parked around the filling station were destroyed in the fire,” he added
Executive Secretary, Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Muhammad Sulaiman, confirmed the incidents saying,” three persons had died while two others who sustained various degrees of injuries were receiving treatment at a hospital.
