If elected, Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, told Nigerians that he will end the nation’s problems with poverty and insecurity.
At a rally for the presidential election on Monday in Katsina State, he made the promise.
Obi said, “We are here with the promise of building a new Nigeria where there is security and without poverty.
“A Nigeria where your children and yourself will be happy to stay in.”
Obi also pledged to see to it that young people received the right attention in order to deter them from engaging in societal vices like thuggery.
He further said that he would open up employment chances for a vast number of unemployed individuals so they could make a good contribution to the advancement of society.
The presidential candidate pledged that he will support the nation’s business community.
He claims that he has already created policies and programs in every area of life that will help to raise the standard of living for the populace and advance the nation.
He consequently asked voters to cast their ballots for Labour Party candidates in large numbers.
Also addressing, the party’s vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, declared that the end of the nation’s security woes would begin with their inauguration.
They would also make sure that governance was prudent, according to Baba-Ahmed.
He added that if the Labour Party were to rule Nigeria, every citizen would have a happy life.
