Chairman of the All Progressive Congress National Campaign Council, Abdullahi Ganduje, says the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party accommodated Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, because he is in control of the state treasury.
Ganduje, who is also the governor of Kano State, said this on Monday while addressing journalists shortly after the inauguration of the campaign council at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
He said the River State’s Governor Nyesom Wike-led Peoples Democratic Party National Campaign Council was not threat to the APC because the party has a candidate capable of winning the September 19 governorship election in Edo.
APC candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and other party’s candidates will face the incumbent Edo Governor Obaseki, who recently defected from the APC to join the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
