One person was killed on Monday in a violent clash between two factions of Odua Peoples Congress in Osun State.
Many other persons also sustained serious injuries during the clash.
First News learnt from some residents of the community that one Bolaji Owolewa was killed during the clash.
An eye witness told First News that the violent clash occurred following an argument between a member of Odua Peoples Congress Initiative, Nurudeen Emiola and a member of Odua Peoples Congress, Abiodun Ogunjimi.
The violence, which occurred in Ikoyi, Isokan Local Government Area of the state, caused panic in the area with many residents scampering to safety.
Some residents, however, said such a violent clash amongst members of the OPC in the area had become regular.
Policemen, it was learnt, took the remains of the deceased to the mortuary.
