Police authority in Lagos on Thursday said Sergeant Samuel Phillips, who killed Monsurat Ojuade, in the Ijesha area of Lagos had been dismissed from service.
It also said the officer would face murder charges in the court of law over his unprofessional conduct which led to the death of the teenage girl.
This was revealed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, on Friday.

The incident occurred when Philip and other operatives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, were chasing some suspected criminals around Ijesha community in Lagos.
