Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governors Douye Diri of Bayelsa State and his Kwara State counterpart, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, were among dignitaries that attended the wedding of Ebitari Alaibe, the son of former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Ndutimi Alaibe at the Monarch event centre in Lagos.
The star-studded wedding also had in attendance, former governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, former governors of Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Celestine Omehia, former governor of Ekiti State and one time Minister of Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, as well as ex-governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba and that of Cross River, Donald Duke.
Also present were the MD of NDDC, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, business moguls, Tony Elumelu, Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, Chairman BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, founder Stanbic IBTC bank, Chief Atedo Peterside, founder Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Publisher of Vanguard, Sam Amuka Pemu, that of Oviation, Chief Dele Momodu, and Daily Times, Fidelis Anosike alongside his wife, Rita Dominic Anosike.
Also, in attendance at the wedding hosted by IK Osakioduwa, also known as Wildchild, were top clergymen, traditional rulers like Oba Alayeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi, media personalities, Ojinika Anne Okpe and Rufai Oseni.
In his homily, the officiating minister urged the couples to stay true to their marital vows and make God the center of the marriage, saying prayers should be part of their lives in order to succeed together.
In his remarks, Obasanjo advised the couple not to go to bed without resolving any dispute or quarrel between them, notifying them that storms will come their way, but they should collectively work to overcome it.
An elated Alaibe said he was proud to see his son marry the love of his life and expressed confidence that with God Almighty, the union would blossom and bear all the needed fruits.
The couples, Ebitari Alaibe from Opokuma in Bayelsa State and Anne Burton, a medical doctor from Ghana, met eight years ago and stayed in touch before accepting to tie the nuptial knot.
