Supporters of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, on Monday, booed the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, at the Sani Abacha Stadium venue of the inauguration ceremony for the new governor of the state.
Eyewitness said an angry crowd of NNPP supporters began to shout loudly immediately, the Kano Emir arrived the venue.
The crowd also meted similar treatment to the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, younger brother of the Kano Emir.
Security operatives, however, quickly intervened and escorted the monarchs to their seats.
