A brother to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Kanunta Kanu, says state governors and politicians should stop promoting banditry in the South-East.
He warned them to stop paying ransom to bandits in Igboland.
Kanu’s brother in a tweet said the South-East must be rid of Fulani kidnappers.
He expressed regrets that while bandits have been paid millions, the Eastern Security Network has been victimized.
Kanu’s brother tweeted, “Eastern Region MUST be free from the hands of Fulani kidnappers.
“The governors, politicians, and elites should stop promoting banditry in SE by paying ransom to free abductees.
“You pay bandits millions, victimises #ESN & encourage the killings of #Biafrans by @HQNigerianArmy.”
Scores of people have been killed in the Southeast with the crime blamed on ESN operatives.
