Nigerian Women View Relationships as a Form of Employment — GehGeh Shares

Popular media personality and content creator, GehGeh, recently stirred conversation with his bold claim that Nigerian women now perceive relationships as a form of employment.

In a controversial statement, he advised men to abandon the idea of marriage, arguing that it’s merely a ploy women use to get men to squander their resources.

During a candid discussion on The Honest Bunch podcast, GehGeh reflected on how marriage was once a revered institution where women played the role of providers while submitting to their husbands’ authority.

“Men should stop marrying because it’s a strategy women used to lure men into wasting their resources. I am an Urhobo man,” he said.

He then compared it to the traditional roles in his father’s time, explaining, “My dad got married because, in his era, it was women who worked for men. Then the man is the king with plenty of wives who work for him while he handles the authority and protection.”

But, according to GehGeh, times have changed: “The women work in the farm and provide for the men and children. But is it like that nowadays?”

He didn’t mince words when he criticized modern relationships, saying, “I feel Nigerian women are the worst to date or marry because they date for money. They see relationships as a form of employment. They believe their partners have to pay their bills. I’m not ready for that.”
