Nigerian Music Industry Got Its Own ‘Diddy’ — Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage recently hinted that the Nigerian music scene might soon have its own counterpart to American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has faced allegations of involvement in sex trafficking.

The mother of one shared this insight during an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos.

“I think Nigerian music might have our own Diddy moment,” she said.

Recall that Federal agents reportedly seized supplies intended for events dubbed “freak offs” during a raid on Diddy’s Beverly Hills mansion in March, uncovering drugs and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil.

The incident gained renewed attention after Diddy was arrested by Homeland Security in September on charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate prostitution.

The rapper, now facing global backlash, denied all charges and pleaded not guilty on September 17, though his bail request was denied twice.

Adding fuel to the controversy, Nigerian content creator turned-singer, Oluwadolarz, recently claimed that a gay music executive made sexual advances toward him in exchange for promoting his music but he refused.

Following this revelation, Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy publicly challenged Oluwadolarz to disclose the executive’s identity, but Oluwadolarz chose not to reveal further details.
